HUNTER wetland projects are set to be flush with federal funding.

The Hunter-Central Rivers Catchment Management Authority will get $700,000.

It will lead a joint project with the Northern Rivers Catchment Management Authority working on wetlands that require rehabilitation and protection.

Coastal areas from the Central Coast to the Queensland border will be examined.

The project is one of a total of 19 that will receive about $12.7 million over three years.
