VOLUNTEERS are needed this Sunday to help the Kooragang Wetland Rehabilitation Project.

Starting from 8.30am, volunteers will help the project in planting and bush-regeneration activities behind the old dairy on Ash Island.

Because the work is outdoors, volunteers are advised to bring a hat, slap on the sunscreen and wear a long-sleeved shirt and gumboots.

The work will start at 8.30am and finish about 10.30am when the troops will settle down for a morning tea. To reach the site, you cross the Ash Island Bridge at Hexham and follow the signs to the site.

For further information, or to volunteer, telephone Lyn or Sue on 4964 9308 by Thursday.
